Laboratory assistant

Job description

As a lab technician in the port of Antwerp, you will be responsible for performing various chemical and physical tests on cement and raw materials.

• You will set up experiments at lab scale, generate and record test results in the LIMS data system and perform internal calibrations and periodic maintenance of lab equipment.
• You will monitor and control external sampling and actively contribute to improving testing methods, lab techniques, efficiency, working procedures and systems.
• You will work closely with your fellow lab technicians to ensure that the cement we produce is of top quality.
• Your input is important and encouraged within our team.

Profile description

Who are you?

• You hold an A2 or Bachelor's degree in chemistry or laboratory techniques and have a good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
• You enjoy working in a team and are customer-oriented.
• Following standard procedures and showing discipline is not a problem for you.
• Knowledge of LIMS ABB Knowledge Manager is a plus.
• You have a good command of both Dutch and English.
