What will you do?
As Junior Calculator you will learn to analyse project plans to estimate costs, quantities of materials and schedules. You will dive into project plans and specifications and examine both technical and administrative aspects. You will ensure compliance with technical and safety standards and assist in calculating the cost of labour and supplies based on quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Your range of tasks is diverse and challenging:
- Study specifications with regard to technical, safety and administrative conditions.
- Preparing price requests from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Perform arithmetic checks and plan checks.
- Attending site visits.
- Processing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in determining the right price for a project, taking into account risks, operating cost allowances, risk coverage, profit, execution methods and execution times.
Profile
Who are you and what do you bring?
We are looking for a talented professional with an analytical and technical mind for our partner:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in construction or equivalent through experience.
- Preferably some experience in a similar position, but definitely not a must. Eagerness to learn already does a lot!
- Resistance to pressure and precision.
- Ability to work independently.
- Familiar with reading building plans.
- Experience with IT tools, such as Office, KPD, Autocad and/or MS Project is an added advantage.
