HAZOP/LOPA Facilitator

In this role, you will facilitate HAZOPs (or other process-related assessments) at clients' premises. You will take charge of the entire process. Support with administrative tasks is provided for larger

assignments. Preparations and reporting are mostly done in the office, the effective sessions mainly at clients' premises. Frequent trips to clients are a matter of course.

• Prepare and facilitate HAZOP, LOPA and other risk assessment methodologies (such as WhatIf, HAZID, BCC, FMECA, etc.).
• Moderate mul􀆟disciplinaire teams during sessions.
• Analysis and interpretation of technical documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, process descriptions).
• Drafting clear and accurate reports and recommendations.
• Monitor the follow-up of actions and recommendations from the studies.
• Advising clients on risk reduction and optimisation of safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. IEC 61511).
• Giving internal and external training or workshops on process safety.

• You have a master's degree (or equivalent through experience) in a technical field, such as
• Industrial or civil engineering (e.g. chemistry, process technology, environment, safety).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
• Knowledge of Belgian and European legislation on process safety (Seveso, ATEX, etc.).
• Training experience is a plus.
• Analytically strong with an eye for both risks and feasible solutions.
• Independent, customer-oriented and quality-conscious.
• Flexibly deployable across different sectors and customer environments.
• You know how to communicate technical concepts comprehensibly to diverse audiences.
• You speak and write Dutch and English fluently, knowledge of French and/or German is a plus.
• Higher studies working and thinking level, preferably in a technical field.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating HAZOP/LOPA studies.
• Good knowledge of process safety and risk management.
• Strong communication skills and team leadership.
• Knowledge of software tools such as "PHA-pro" is a plus.
• Certification as a HAZOP facilitator is a plus.
