Calculator

What will you do as a calculator? In this position, you will be responsible for the price calculations of both small and larger projects. Every project at our client starts with an extensive analysis of the project, after which their new calculator provides a sharp and correct quote. After approval of the quote, everything is put on plan and they can plan the works.

So you will be at the start of each new project and deal with the following on a daily basis:

• Analysis of various procurement files.
• Drawing up quotations for electrical works. You ensure correct price calculation for the various projects.
• Customer contact: You will answer technical questions from customers and provide support where needed.
• Supplier contact: You will request quotations and look at different execution techniques to achieve both technical and commercial benefits.
• Working with colleagues: You work closely with project leaders and draftsmen to provide the right solutions.
• Responsible from A to Z: You supervise the quotation process from the request for proposal to the final offer.

What will you bring? For this role, we are looking for a calculator who can take responsibility for projects. What our client expects from you:

• At least initial experience with electricity or willingness to develop further in this area.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with estimation tools.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Be able to work independently and take the initiative, in addition to working well together within a small team.
• Living in the Antwerp region or willing to work there.

Our client has specialised in general electricity works, mainly for the public sector, for more than 25 years. They work on projects for schools, offices, sports halls and more, mainly in the Antwerp region. The company has around 50 employees in total, with a team of 10 working full-time in the office. You will join this close-knit team, reporting directly to the manager.
