For the vacancy young development engineer you are responsible for:

• start-up programme with other engineers
• an in-depth introduction to the organisation
• you learn the way of working in the different departments
• longer periods abroad to other sites (India, Romania,...)
• training of one and a half years to further develop your career
• you combine this with your job as product engineer
• you lead technical projects (introduction of new customers, new processes, new products, automation)
• you optimise the finishing process and sequence with a focus on quality, productivity, reliability, cost and safety, taking into account the machine possibilities and strategic production decisions
• you are responsible for all calculations, work instructions, raw material specifications, process drawings and routings needed to complete a production order
• You seek a compromise between the limitations of all process steps. You consult with the Process Engineers involved and look for the best solution to produce "first time right" and secure this in the standard finishing process.

Our client is a global player in the development of gears and mechanical components. They specialise in wind turbines, compressors, motors for cruise ships and power generation. The Bruges site is responsible for the development of new products and is the headquarters from which the international production sites are controlled.

For the vacancy young development engineer you meet the following profile:

• a technical master's degree
• fluent knowledge of English
• recent graduate
• flexible to foreign movements
