Function

  • From a safe and orderly working environment, ensuring that our internal and external customers are delivered in a quality and efficient manner is our warehouse mission
  • You will bear safety and order and cleanliness in high regard and help watch over the safety and well-being of our employees.
  • You are responsible for the day-to-day management on the shop floor in the warehouse . Through correct work distribution, you ensure that all tasks are carried out in the most efficient and high-quality manner. If necessary, you jump in yourself to make sure our customers are delivered.
  • You perform all administrative processes concerning goods receipt, picking and shipping accurately. This also includes monitoring empty goods flows.
  • You are the point of contact for day-to-day operations and you provide solutions to urgent logistics issues and think about structural improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • You have an eye for deviations (stock differences, picking errors, etc.) and correct them as soon as possible. You take the first corrective measures yourself to prevent similar deviations.
  • You ensure optimal information transfer of the relevant data to the work planner of the other shift.
  • You coach and motivate a team of +- 15 warehouse employees by holding regular follow-up meetings to improve performance in terms of quality and efficiency. You manage communication to the team via floor meetings, among other things.
  • You will provide welcoming and training for new employees within the shift.
  • You will make improvement proposals for recurring problems, supporting the warehouse manager to find structural solutions together with him.
  • You will report to the warehouse manager.

Profile

  • You are a bachelor in logistics or equivalent through experience.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years' warehouse experience or in a similar position. Experience in food and/or detail picking is a plus.
  • You have a broad understanding of processes and flows.
  • You are fluent with PC (WMS, ERP & Excel) and have strong administrative skills. High accuracy and discipline in performing tasks is required.
  • A high degree of independence in performing your tasks does not deter you. You are practical and cooperative if the workload requires it.
  • You are results-oriented and set the right priorities.
