The position of trainee customer advisor involves a full-time employment of 37 hours per week. To keep the customer service optimal, you work in a shift system with hours between 8am and 8pm (8am-4pm/10pm-8pm/12pm). Once a month, you work on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12.30 pm. These hours are compensated during the working week (recuperation). Our client does not provide overtime.

After a successful six-month temporary employment period through Accent, two more fixed-term contracts will follow (twice six months), with evaluation interviews being held at set times. After this you will receive your permanent contract with our client.

Financial:
- a gross monthly salary depending on the candidate; relevant work experience is taken into account
- after 6 months, a bonus system is used at both personal and team level (4 times a year)
- meal vouchers of €8 per day worked
- 32 days of leave per year which can be taken freely, after consultation with the colleagues (20 statutory days of leave and 12 paid adv days)

Function

Our client has developed an attractive programme to introduce you to the financial sector: a traineeship as a customer advisor.

Your journey starts in the Brussels head office, where your commercial skills and product knowledge will be sharpened. You will be immersed in the wonderful world of finance and insurance.

You follow the entire training programme together with a team of recent graduates, which always ensures a fun, pleasant atmosphere. Together with them, you will discover the workings of a financial institution.

You start as a financial advisor, which can be compared to a commercial customer service employee. You will speak to customers with pressing questions, listen to their needs and wishes and respond to them commercially.

Customers contact the customer service with a wide range of questions about different banking products. As a financial advisor, you will answer these questions and provide the customer with sufficient information about the services/products. If there is a question to which you do not immediately know the answer, you follow it up carefully.

With your well-developed listening skills, you also pick up on opportunities in these telephone conversations. You then take advantage of them to promote certain products/services. Examples: loans, credit cards, insurances, current accounts, deposit accounts... If the customer is interested, you either conclude a sale by phone or schedule an appointment for the regional office near your customer.

The nice thing about this job is that you can build up a long-term relationship with your customers. By doing so, you realise a growth of your own customer portfolio and you enlarge the bank network.

After the complete training programme, you can start working as a customer advisor in one of the regional offices where your personal growth path can be taken even further.

Profile

To be able to start the traineeship customer advisor, it is important that you have at least a bachelor degree. Our customer asks for this at the start.

It is important that you have strong communication skills. You have sufficient persuasive power to get people to take action over the phone. You are strong in the Dutch or French language. Having commercial conversations in one of these languages does not scare you at all. Bilingualism is an asset here.
