Technical Draftsman

You will be joining an SME with around 35 colleagues that is an established player with a global name in its niche market.

Moreover, there are growth perspectives and you will be working in an informal no-nonsense company culture with fast decision lines.

You get a varied function with many internal contacts and collaborations in which you can become an expert in this innovative niche market. Moreover, you will receive various training opportunities, both at the start and later if necessary for the job.

Furthermore, you can count on a remuneration in line with the market, depending on your experience. The salary package is supplemented with meal vouchers and group insurance and you work in a 40-hour week.

Due to growth, they are looking for a second technical draughtsman where you will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Drawing and design of pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, piping systems,...

- Drafting the Bill of Materials (BOM).

- Drawing in Autocad/Inventor of the machines/equipment according to customer requirements and applicable codes.

- Elaboration of all production and detail drawings.

- Drawing up a bill of materials for the devices/machines to be manufactured and having it approved by the design engineer for reviewing the product specifications.

- You also maintain close contacts with suppliers and customers.

- You also maintain close contacts with the internal departments (production, engineering,...).

- You report to the Managing Director.

Our client is a leading SME located in the region of Aalst. They are active in the design and construction of pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, piping systems and components for applications in various sectors (chemicals, petrochemicals, mining, fertilisers, paper industry, ...). They are also present on the international market.
They focus on the use of special metal alloys and precious metals (nickel alloys, titanium, zirconium,...). In this niche market, they are an internationally respected player due to their high quality, flexibility and service.

- Preferably you had a professional bachelor's degree in mechanics, electromechanics, construction engineering,... Or equivalent by experience.

- You already have a number of years' relevant experience as a mechanical draughtsman in a similar sector (mechanical engineering, equipment construction, steel construction, etc.).

- You have a general technical basis in the field of mechanics.

- Preferably you have knowledge of metals, metal alloys, metal constructions, sheet metal working, steel construction, equipment construction,...

- You already have knowledge and/or experience of Autocad 2D/3D, Inventor or other drawing programs.

- Knowledge of standards and guidelines such as ASME, PED, EN, ... is an advantage.

- You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a big plus.
