Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer, you play a crucial role in putting down clear, understandable documentation for complex technical topics. You can specialise in two main areas:

1. Machine safety and technical documentation: you will be involved in writing technical documentation for complex production lines, with a specific focus on machine safety. In doing so, you will contribute to the safety and efficiency of production processes.
2. Energy transition and technical regulation: you will contribute to the electrification of industry and the energy transition by drafting complex technical regulations. In doing so, you will be involved in pioneering projects shaping the future of energy and technology.

You will also be responsible for optimising the creation process by introducing new tools and collaboration methods. You monitor the quality and methodology of reports and manuals, and work closely with a team of experts to develop innovative solutions.

As a Technical Writer, you largely meet the requirements below:

• You are an engineer with a passion for describing complex subjects clearly and understandably. Or you are a linguist/lawyer/translator with a special interest or expertise in technical areas.
• You have a broad interest in engineering, energy, policy, law, economics and related fields.
• You are inquisitive, analytical, structured and accurate.
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• You are able to work effectively within a team of experts and contribute to solutions.
• You speak very good Dutch and English. Other languages are a plus.

Our client is a service provider in the industrial world that provides support in the realisation and exploitation of investment projects. They carry out analyses, basic engineering, detailed engineering and realisations in very diverse sectors (food, pharma, energy, manufacturing, etc.).
As an independent specialist, they offer pragmatic and high-quality engineering solutions for industrial processes, utilities, energy and logistics.
They are a smaller SME with a strong team and a fun working atmosphere. There is often teamwork where everyone complements each other well. They place great emphasis on coaching, mentoring and training (internal and external). To expand their team, they are currently looking for a technical writer.
