Technical Purchaser

As technical buyer, you will be responsible for the purchase and logistical processing of the required materials needed for the projects. Below is a sample of your duties:

• You will be responsible for contracts with suppliers.
• You will be responsible for purchases as well as warehouse management.
• You will join a team of 2 buyers. Ideally, you will also take the lead within this team and be each other's back-up.
• You will negotiate prices, delivery times and technical issues with suppliers in consultation with the project engineers.
• You prepare the order form and ensure it is delivered as scheduled.
• You liaise with suppliers and do follow-ups on all project-related items
• You manage various documents and reports: current price requests, order forms, supplier classification, certificates classification.
• You will brief project engineers regarding material flow for projects.
• You do the initial check for quantitative and qualitative conformity of deliveries.
• You will assist supplier reviews and organise supplier visits when necessary.

As a technical buyer, you largely meet the following requirements:

• You have a bachelor's degree with technical knowledge or are equivalent through experience.
• You have a good technical understanding so you can work with the project engineers to select the right materials.
• Good material and/or product knowledge is a plus.
• You have knowledge of logistics processes.
• You speak and write fluent Dutch and English.
• You have a very good knowledge of IT tools (ERP, MS Office,...)
• You are communicative and can communicate fluently with suppliers as well as colleagues.
• You are assertive at the same time.
• You are punctual in your administrative tasks and have strong planning skills.
• You have leadership/organisational skills.
• You are good at keeping track of various ongoing projects.
