Function

  • You act as a point of contact for technical defects worldwide
  • You dissect technical problems by asking the right questions and make a correct diagnosis
  • You offer technical solutions to solve the problem (via mail or phone)
  • You contact the suppliers to discuss technical problems and obtain additional information
  • If it cannot be solved remotely, you organise the repair to be done on site. Based on availability, cost-effectiveness, etc. You make the decision whether to send a flying technician from the team, to call in a local/external technician or to go on the road yourself. You ensure that everything is planned as efficiently as possible and that all materials / parts are sent along. You keep everyone informed of the intervention and the corresponding planning.
  • You will occasionally visit sites to help solve technical problems, but also to keep your knowledge sharp and up-to-date

Our client is an international company of Belgian origin, specialised in crane rental and engineering projects for lifting and moving loads with exceptional dimensions and weight.

Profile

  • You are in possession of a bachelor degree (electromechanics, car technology...) or a master degree (industrial sciences, electromechanics...) or you are equivalent through experience
  • Preferably you already have work experience in a technical, service-oriented function, but eager school leavers will certainly be considered as well
  • You have a good general technical knowledge (electricity, hydraulics, mechanics...) and are willing to continuously train yourself in order to become and remain an expert in the equipment
  • You are a strong communicator
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English (both oral and written)
  • Knowledge of French, German and/or Spanish is a great asset
  • You can work fluently with the computer (e.g. MS Office)
  • You are a driven and stress resistant team player with great decisiveness
  • You have strong listening skills and good logical reasoning ability, which enable you to analyse technical problems quickly.
  • You think in terms of solutions and know how to communicate these clearly and concretely to others
  • You are a born organiser for whom setting priorities and good follow-up are a matter of course
  • You are customer-oriented (internally) and cost-conscious
  • You like to help others via e-mail, phone or face-to-face
