Senior Bookkeeper

For this organisation in the Turnhout region, we are currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join the team. Some elements that will be part of your duties include:

• Responsibility for periodic closures.
• Most of the bookkeeping work is carried out by another member of the finance team, but where necessary you will provide the necessary support.
• Budgeting and participation in the audit process will be your responsibility.
• Together with the team, you prepare the financial statements.
• You actively think along and take initiatives regarding improvement processes.
• You will contribute to the quality of both financial inputs and outputs.

To successfully fill the role of Senior Bookkeeper in the Turnhout region, we are looking for someone who agrees with the requirements below:

• You have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
• You will have at least 5 years' work experience in an A to Z bookkeeper role.
• Besides experience with BE GAAP, you also have knowledge of IFRS.
• You are proficient in the use of the MS Office package.
• Being able to work smoothly with a new accounting package is a big plus.
• You have a professional-level command of English, and knowledge of another language is considered a plus.
• You are not someone who looks at the clock all day until your working hours are over.
• You are proactive by nature.
