R&D engineer polymers

Our client is currently looking for a motivated and accurate colleague. In this position, the selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to Research & Development (R&D) and quality control, as well as planning and coordinating production activities. Below is an overview of the main responsibilities:

- Daily execution of R&D and quality control activities, including laboratory testing. You will manage 3 lab technicians.

- Preparing and optimising production formulas.

- Preparation of reports for quality control.

- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and procurement of consumables to support production in document loading.

- Provide information to production staff and participate in meetings on production matters.

- Updating production consumption files and preparing production planning.

- Preferably, you have a technical education in chemistry.

- You have knowledge of plastics, polymers and, ideally, recycling.

- A hands-on mentality characterises you.

- You speak good Dutch and English.

- You have a natural ability to get people excited.

A dynamic and leading company in the production of polypropylene compounds, it offers a wide range of APP and IPP compounds for bitumen modification. It also supplies IPP compounds (homopolymer and copolymer) for injection moulding and extrusion applications.
