Our client is looking for a Quality Control Officer who is responsible for ensuring that delivered products meet set quality requirements, reliability and performance. The Quality Control Officer sets and implements both internal and external quality standards to ensure that the company's products and services meet customer expectations. The Quality Control Officer conducts reviews of production and procurement processes to develop internal quality policies, procedures and specifications. This position reports to the Quality Control Team Leader and liaises closely with Regulatory Affairs, Logistics, Production Manager, Innovation Manager, commercial departments and the internal laboratory.


Your range of tasks:

  • Development and archiving of QC documentation
  • Building and maintaining relationships with laboratories
  • Carrying out analyses according to the monitoring programme in cooperation with internal and external laboratories
  • Ensuring the archiving of samples according to the requirements of quality systems
  • Implement and monitor quality standards to ensure consistent product quality according to key quality systems
  • Evaluate customer requirements to ensure their needs are met according to established customer service standards
  • Specifying quality requirements for raw materials, finished and commercial products obtained from suppliers
  • Handling incoming QA audits and customer questionnaires
  • Preparation and supervision of QA audits by certifying bodies
  • Screening/auditing procedures for existing and new products and suppliers (including SIF/PIF)
  • Being aware of tracking and tracing procedures
  • Understanding the regulations drawn up by EU and national directives related to feed laws
  • Implement and manage QC certification for the in-house laboratory

Profile

  • Master's degree with a background in chemistry or biochemistry, or studies related to quality management in agri-food or proven experience in quality assurance
  • Good understanding of analytical procedures
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Interested in working in an international environment
  • Fluent in English as well as Dutch, German, French or Spanish is an advantage
