Project manager piping

You will be working for a company that has been around for more than 100 years. Moreover, you can count on a permanent job with a varied range of tasks in an exciting work environment. As Project Manager Piping you are responsible for the following tasks:

• You are responsible for the piping projects and report directly to the head project manager.
• You make quotations and do any calculations.
• You design and draw industrial pipeline systems for the process industry, among others.
• You draw up 3D piping models and make preparatory drawings that will be further developed by the draftsmen.
• You draw up bills of materials, work descriptions and the scope of work.
• You follow up the drawings so that they comply with the standards and norms of the customer.
• You are responsible for the planning and monitoring of various technical follow-ups.
• You supervise and lead a team of workers (10-20 people).
• You help with technical problems and manage the employees involved on a daily basis.
• You take care of the follow-up of both prefab constructions in our workshop and assemblies and piping at different sites.

Our client is active in environmental solutions, both for industry and government in the fields of water, air and waste treatment. Their department in the Dendermonde region is specifically specialised in industrial metal constructions, piping, filter and ventilation systems and prefab & skid build environmental installations. They work both for the head office and for other companies. At the moment, they are strongly focusing on piping projects, so they are looking for reinforcement in terms of project management.

As project manager piping you largely meet the following requirements:

• You have an industrial engineer's degree, technical bachelor's degree or A2 diploma, preferably in mechanics, welding or equivalent through experience.
• You already have extensive professional experience and are driven by technology and production.
• You have experience with CAD software and isometrics. You have experience with detail and basic engineering.
• You know the standards and codes of piping and welding certificates. You are flexible and have a hands-on mentality.
• You are a people manager and a team player.
• You think pro-actively and like to take initiative.
• You speak Dutch very well, knowledge of English and/or French is a plus.
• You have a driving licence type B.
• You attach importance to efficiency, quality and timing.
