Function

  • As project manager, you will be responsible for installing, delivering, testing and commissioning complete workstations or gas distribution systems within hospitals and laboratories in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • You are responsible for all technical aspects, overall quality, budget monitoring and customer satisfaction
  • The unpredictability of healthcare means that your own work cannot always go according to plan and you have to constantly shift gears
  • You enjoy the challenge of dealing with these dynamics
  • You will report directly to the Operations Manager
  • Costing and checking quotations and calculations
  • Checking project-related drawing work, working out product adjustments if necessary
  • You monitor time schedules and negotiate prices and conditions with suppliers
  • You ensure correct registration in the system
  • Monitoring quality and progress of assembly crews and/or subcontractor
  • You control more and less work as well as the material flow
  • You will attend site meetings, evaluate projects and suggest possible process improvements
  • Closure and technical delivery
  • You will support the Operations Managers in strategic decisions and actively participate in departmental consultations

Profile

  • Ideally, you will have an engineering degree (industrial sciences) or equivalent through experience
  • You have the ambition and potential to master the concepts of all techniques
  • You are communicative and solution-oriented
  • You can express yourself in Dutch, English and French
  • You have a good knowledge of Autocad drawing packages and work fluently with MS Office
  • You work meticulously with an eye for detail and respect for deadlines
  • You cope well with pressure and have a hands-on attitude
  • You can enthuse and know how to deal with resistance
  • You have the necessary social skills to manage the different project phases
  • You are strong in negotiations, both with suppliers, partners and customers
  • You work in a methodical and organised way and know how to set the right priorities
  • Experience in a similar position is recommended
