Project Manager

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Planning and coordinating the entire project, in this case the setting up of a new recycling plant, with all parties involved within the specifications, deadlines and budget.
• You will have full responsibility for building up the new recycling plant. This includes the technical part, quality, supply chain and personnel part.
• Specifically, you will be responsible for the implementation of a new extrusion line, utilities, complete installation of machines that will mix and sort the raw materials, etc.
• You are responsible for the daily follow-up of the project.
• Follow up, manage and report the budget and project costs.
• Follow up on the agreed actions.
• Managing the interfaces between the different disciplines/parties in the project.
• Managing the employees made available for the project.

Our client is specialised in the production and sale of PET preforms. These are used for packaging various products such as water, soft drinks, oils, detergents,...
Since its establishment in 1994, the company has grown strongly and, in addition to the main site in Wetteren, it now has production sites in the United States, Russia, Spain, Hungary and various other European countries. The Wetteren site employs around 150 people and still has a family atmosphere.
In addition, they attach great importance to quality, service, customer orientation and innovation so that they can continue to grow in a sustainable manner. As part of this growth and the construction of a new recycling plant, they are looking for a Project Manager.

As a Project Manager, you can (largely) tick off the following characteristics:

• You are a master industrial engineer, preferably in the field of electromechanics or related. Or you are equivalent through your experience.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in a technical industrial project-based environment.
• You have knowledge of various technical disciplines (constructional, electromechanical, etc.).
• You know how a production facility works. Both in terms of machines and utilities etc.
• You have proven project management experience and work according to a structured approach.
• You have a pragmatic/hands-on attitude. You keep an overview of your projects, but are someone who also likes to do something hands-on.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
• You are a real team player with leadership skills.
• You have a sense of initiative and a do-mentality.
