For our project engineer we provide:

-A permanent contract immediately.

-Gross pay according to experience.

Function

As project engineer you will mainly:

-Design and implementation of projects.

-Engineering improvements to existing installations.

-Technical studies for the optimisations.

-Cooperating with investment plans.

-Preparing specifications for contractors.

-organising and coordinating the projects (foundations, piping, steel constructions, insulation, etc.)

-Supervising the contractors.

-Act as the right hand of the head of the technical department.

Organisation

Together with our client, located in the Ghent seaport, we are looking for a project engineer. This company, active in the chemical sector, currently employs about 200 people. About 100 workers and 100 employees are employed here. They buy raw materials here and process them into basic products for the production of e.g. car tyres, mobile phone covers, ...

They have been on the site for 150 years and have always presented themselves as a family SME, although they were taken over by an international group a few years ago. Here, there is still a family atmosphere in a context where everyone knows each other.

Profile

For our project engineer we are looking for someone who:

-Minimum a technical bachelor's degree.

-has several years of experience in a production environment, if this is in the chemical sector, this is a big plus.

-Autonomous working.

-A sense of responsibility, because you are a key figure in production.

-Knowledge of piping, PLCs, electricity and mechanics.

-Having the drive to take care of projects from A-Z.
