Production supervisor

As production supervisor you are responsible for the following tasks:

• Achievement of production targets according to prescribed safety, quality and productivity standards
• Efficient deployment of production operators.
• Managing, motivating and coaching a team of about 30 operators who work in a 3-shift system.
• Ensuring the division of tasks, follow-up and adjustment of the operational activities.
• Respecting deadlines and targets while maintaining qualitative objectives.
• Implementing and following the work and safety regulations.
• You ensure that all work is done in a safe, qualitative and correct manner and that it is done on time and correctly.
• Continuously looking for improvements and optimisations regarding activities and processes.
• Actively support and monitor Lean projects and the Lean work methodology on the floor.
• Integrating and guiding new employees towards independence and responsibility.
• You report to the production manager.

Our client is active in the production of cardboard and paper packaging based on recycled fibres. This sustainable packaging is developed to measure for the customer. This Belgian company is a growing group with more than 70 branches spread over some 20 countries worldwide. In total, the group has about 6400 employees.
For their packaging business unit, which specialises in processing paper into corrugated cardboard packaging, they are currently looking for a production supervisor (2 shifts).

• You have a technical bachelor or master degree and have a first (managerial) experience OR you are equivalent by combining a technical education (minimum A2) with minimum 5 years of managerial experience.
• You are a social and communicative person who can deal constructively with conflicts and who knows how to motivate and lead a team.
• As a Supervisor, you will distinguish yourself by your drive, organisational skills, flexibility and attention to safety and quality.
• You are communicative and able to coach and motivate a team.
• You are a team player and can communicate clearly at all levels within the organisation.
• You have a sound knowledge of MS Office.
• You are prepared to work in a 2-shift system (early-late).
