Function

As Product Engineer you are responsible for the following tasks:

  • You will be responsible for the project management and production preparations for the development and adjustment of medication distribution systems.
  • You receive an idea from R&D that you follow up until the launch of the new product. You will be responsible for developing the design, looking for the right components, looking for suitable suppliers and selecting them, testing the prototypes, drawing up the BOM and production files, monitoring the external manufacturer, coordinating internal and external partners, monitoring the first installation at the customer's...
  • You think along with the development of new products, think about the feasibility and the evolutions in the market and you try to continuously improve, taking into account feedback from customers and field service technicians.
  • You are responsible for 2nd and 3rd line support of the field service technicians for more complex problems and machines. For this, you will occasionally go on site at the customers if necessary.
  • You check whether everything is documented and keep this information up-to-date, including manuals.
  • You will report to the Director of Customer Solutions and Business Development, who can also be your sparring partner.

As a Product Engineer, you can tick off the following characteristics:

  • You have a bachelor or master degree in a technical field or equivalent through experience.
  • You have at least a few years of experience.
  • You can think along in various fields: electricity, electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, PLC, firmware, etc.
  • You have knowledge and insight into the process of product development. You know how to handle various tasks in a structured way and how to set priorities.
  • You like freedom in your job and you pull the projects independently.
  • You are a hands-on engineer with expertise.
  • You have an eye for opportunities, improvements and work in a problem-solving way.
  • You are a team player and a good communicator, both inside and outside the company. You can ensure the commitment of different parties.
  • You have a strong knowledge of English and Dutch. French is a plus.
  • Travelling in Belgium or the neighbouring countries (NL and LUX) is no problem for you.
