Prevention Advisor/Safety Manager

You will find yourself in a varied and challenging position where initiative is encouraged. As prevention consultant/safety manager, you will be responsible for the following range of duties:

• Responsibility for coordinating all safety aspects -and projects within the company.
• You develop and implement safety and prevention policies in accordance with the applicable legislation.
• You will develop an effective risk management system and draw up action plans.
• Further developing the safety culture among employees and the application of safety rules and the correct use of PPE.
• You will carry out risk analyses and organise safety training.
• You work proactively, enabling you to assess dangerous situations and, after analysis, propose the necessary measures and further elaborate them together with the production and maintenance manager.
• You analyse workplace accidents and find out the causes to optimise safety policy.
• You are the point of contact within the company regarding safety. You are also responsible for the necessary reports.
• You will be responsible for the technical commissioning reports of new machines.
• You draw up annual action plans for prevention and safety.
• You will work closely with the maintenance manager and production manager.
• You will report directly to the CEO, who makes safety a priority, and sit on the management team.

As a manufacturer of fibre cement products, they are the specialist for sustainable facade and roof solutions. With more than 100 years of experience, they manage to use their experience and know-how in the further development of their company together with enthusiastic employees. To coordinate safety projects in the company, they are currently looking for a level 1 prevention advisor/safety manager.

As a prevention consultant/safety manager, you will be able to tick off the following items, broadly speaking:

• You already have 5 years' working experience as a prevention consultant in a production environment.
• You have a technical background or have already worked in a technical environment.
• You obtained the Level 1 Prevention Advisor certificate or you are Level 2 and are willing to obtain it.
• You have a hands-on attitude and are diplomatic in your communication.
• You are communicative and can deal with different personalities.
• You can work well with other people in charge.
• You enjoy taking initiative and have a great sense of responsibility.
• You are great at motivating and encouraging people.
• You can advise and report in a clear manner.
• You like to stay abreast of new legislation around security.
• You have a very good command of Dutch.
• You can work well with the standard MS Office packages.
