Pipelines Study Engineer

• You manage studies for construction or adaptation projects of pipelines that are part of our transport infrastructure (pipelines), in their entirety and, in time, manage innovative studies that contribute to the energy transition
• You will analyse needs and carry out feasibility studies or final studies
• You determine the pipeline route, evaluate possible solutions (e.g. river crossings or infrastructures), consult and negotiate with the parties involved (local or regional authorities or customers)
• You will decide on the alternatives together with the project leader and the Community Relations Department
• You coordinate the internal and external studies and soil surveys and provide the required plans and documents for the permit applications
• You draft the project's safety file, as well as the technical specifications (specifications, bills of quantities, etc.) and bills of materials for the works

• A master's degree in industrial engineering, preferably in electromechanics, structural engineering or surveying
• An initial experience of 5 years, preferably in the realisation of civil engineering projects, the construction of pipelines or linear infrastructure or the construction of (petro)chemical plants
• A keen eye for safety and knowledge of welfare legislation
• Preferably a VCA certificate and a level B safety coordinator diploma
• A strong analytical and critical mind
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: you like to cooperate and negotiate and know how to motivate others
• A very good knowledge of French and Dutch with a good knowledge of English
• Willingness to travel frequently in Belgium
• A driving licence B
