Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations and optimising processes within the company specialising in scaffolding construction for industrial projects. You will manage a team of four project managers and report directly to the managing director.

• Maintain an overview of ongoing projects and ensure they are completed on time and on budget
• Liaise with project leaders and support them in improving performance and efficiency
• Analysing financial reports and ensuring operational targets are met
• Plotting strategic lines
• Keep communication channels short and effective, both internally and with subcontractors
• Monitoring compliance with safety and quality standards

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent through experience
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar operational role
• Experience in the construction or industrial sector is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and numerical understanding
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Leadership skills and able to motivate and manage a team
• Hands-on and people-oriented
• Willingness to travel to the various sites

This company specialises in scaffolding construction for industrial applications. Headquartered in Ghent, they operate in East Flanders, Antwerp, Liège and Dunkirk, among other places. They work with a payroll of 65 employees and quite a few permanent subcontractors. Because of the company's amenable size, they are able to respond quickly to requests from their customers.
