The Maintenance Manager EMEAA is responsible for Maintenance & Reliability within the installed base of sterilisation facilities in EMEAA region.
This includes both external (telephone, computer) communication and on-site visits.
In this role, you will provide valuable support to the local maintenance team and non-routine local engineering activities.

The Maintenance Manager is a technical leader reporting directly to the VP EMEAA Engineering in Belgium and is a key conduit between the EMEAA sites and other regions. The person in this role is on the technical leadership team.

If you travel to, for example, Germany, Italy or France, you will sometimes spend two or three days there.
If you go to China, you are more likely to stay for a week.
It may be that your presence in China is needed once in a year, that you do not have to go for two years or that you will go there several times in one year. This depends on the need and previous history but can be well organised.

A picture of your tasks:

• Participate in laying the foundation for an extensive Maintenance & Reliability programme
• You identify critical programme elements to drive focus on preventive, proactive and predictive maintenance activities for equipment
• Measuring routine success and reporting progress will be part of your duties. You will set up mechanisms to manage, communicate and advance the R&M programmes
• Benchmarking against best-in-class companies and organisations in the life-science industry. You can make use of the knowledge and experience of Community of Practices.
• Establishing and defining relevant targets and KPIs for maintenance across the organisation
• Assist facilities in developing plans, making design changes, generating cost estimates and obtaining appropriate funding for planned and unplanned equipment repairs
• You participate in a comprehensive Asset Life Cycle Management programme
• You will support multiple and simultaneous engineering projects at different stages of completion
• You ensure that work is always done in a safe manner
• You travel to facilities based on routine or urgency
