Function

As Lead Process Engineer, you will actively contribute to the improvement of product quality in the production process and the achievement of set targets. You will analyse the process, detect sources of variation and help draw up improvement options. Based on calculations and experiments, you work out improvement proposals in cooperation with colleagues and other departments.

You strive to improve productivity, guarantee quality and take initiatives to improve quality and machine input and eliminate bottlenecks. You investigate quality problems in depth and propose solutions.

You also play an important role in the start-up of new processes and projects. You investigate new applications and supervise special trial orders in production. Moreover, you examine new process technologies, products and facilities for their economic and practical feasibility.

You will be involved in coaching and training colleagues in the principles of LEAN and 5S.

A brief summary of your duties:

  • Optimisation of various production processes
  • Integration of new technologies and processes in existing and new production facilities
  • Ensuring quality output
  • Project work
  • Total productive maintenance (TPM)
  • Continuous improvement

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in industrial or civil engineering in a technical field (or equivalent through experience) and can present at least 2 years of relevant experience in a production environment.
  • You speak Dutch and English and can work fluently with MS Excel.
  • Structured working and reporting is important to you.
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles, 5S and Six Sigma is nice but we are happy to provide additional training, if required.
  • Your strong analytical mind enables you to efficiently identify, analyse (numerically) and solve problems in a systematic way.
  • You can work project-based and when the situation requires it, you are prepared to help solve acute problems.
  • You like working in a team but can also prioritise independently, you communicate smoothly with your colleagues in production and know how to involve them in changes.
