Junior system & network administrator
Function
We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who will be jointly responsible for the implementation, optimal availability and maintenance of various client devices (laptops, desktops, GSM's, printers) within a secure multi-site environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
Installation and management of hardware and software: ensuring that the available equipment and software function optimally and that data security is guaranteed:
- Install and configure workstations, printers and GSM's.
- Signal the need to install software upgrades, patches or new software in response to developments in hardware or software.

Helpdesk support:
- Follow up user helpdesk calls on a daily basis and ensure they are handled quickly and accurately.
- Resolve various queries and problems related to the network environment, ensuring uninterrupted operation:
- Gather information about the reported problem and provide telephone support.
- Registering complex problems and diagnosing them.
- Figuring out solutions via foreign-language manuals, the manufacturer's help desk, the internet or suppliers, and testing out solutions.
- Plan solutions while respecting priorities.
- Maintain a log of solved problems.
- End-user support:
Guiding users in computer usage, both hardware and software related.
- Assist in troubleshooting problems and malfunctions.
- User training:
Providing basic training for new computer users.
- Develop and deliver specific training, and prepare manuals to enhance user effectiveness.
- Knowledge development and innovation:
Actively maintain professional knowledge and keep abreast of new developments within the field, in order to continuously optimise the IT process and user satisfaction within the company's vision.
Profile
- IT Diploma in IT and knowledge of network and server infrastructures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Client and Office365
- Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WINS.
- You have a driving licence B
- Willing to undertake regular refresher training. Eager to learn and up to date with the latest technologies
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic team player who works purposefully and autonomously, tackling tasks on a project basis.
- Communicative, customer-oriented and flexible.
- Willing to be available outside normal working hours.
