Function

Our client is looking for someone who can work in a team and find the right product for the customer. You will be the contact person for customers and suppliers, give technical explanations when needed and support the representatives. You will handle quotes, help with marketing and, as part of the team, ensure correct pricing and adjust technical information.

Below is a more detailed job description:

  • Drawing up quotations and contracts including price calculations, as well as processing and following them up
  • Follow-up of ongoing contracts with end customers (creation of new items, follow-up of annual price revision, taking over stock remnants, purchase prices, negotiation).
  • Working on tenders: start-up and completion of file.
  • Completing tender dossiers from A to Z (buy and sell side).
  • Request attestations for tender dossier, as well as elaborate negotiation report.
  • On entry file creation of new items, fixing prices, briefing sales support,...
  • Providing product advice.
  • Requesting and negotiating prices and delivery dates.
  • Determining sales price as a function of purchase price.
  • Update existing articles and create new ones.
  • Updated price lists and technical info.
  • Entering new purchase and sales prices.
  • Follow-up inventory and input into the system.
  • Sharing and storing newly acquired technical information.

They belong to a larger group that operates internationally and currently employs 230 people.

Profile

For this position, we are looking for someone who can tick most of the following boxes.

  • Bachelor level supplemented by a first experience or newly graduated master's degree.
  • Prior product knowledge is not a requirement, basic training is provided both internally and externally at the supplier.
  • Experience with an ERP and/or CRM package, experience with SAP is a plus but not a must.
  • Knowledge MS Office package.
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch, fluent in English and French both orally and in writing. Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Technical experience is a plus, strong interest in technical products is a must.
