Chief Accountant

As Chief Accountant You will play a crucial role in the finance department of this Zemst-based retailer. You will be responsible for:

• Day-to-day management and support of the accounting team.
• Manage all financial administrative processes for head office and branches.
• Perform general accounting and lead Finance projects.
• You will be responsible for monthly and annual financial closures.
• Follow-up and analysis of accounting accounts.
• Preparation of accounting documents, reports and tax returns.
• Processing VAT returns.
• Management of open items and customer queries.

For the role of Chief Accountant we are looking for the following profile:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in an economics or finance subject under your belt, or equivalent through experience.
• You have experience in leading a team.
• Good command of Word and Excel, knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Strong administrative skills and good numerical understanding.
• Good command of the Dutch and French languages.
