Chief Accountant

As Chief Accountant, you play a crucial role in the company's financial operations. You will lead a team of 3 employees in Ghent and 2 in France and report directly to the finance manager. Your responsibilities include:

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Auditing financial statements, tax returns and statutory reporting.
• Management, assessment and monitoring of our foreign entities in collaboration with local external auditors.
• Standardisation and organisation of accounting & taxation within the group.
• Integration of newly acquired activities/entities in accounting & reporting.
• First point of contact for external audits.

As Chief Accountant, you are/have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar position, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills to manage the team effectively.
• Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting principles, tax laws and reporting standards.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and French.
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset
