Function

As Head of Sales and right hand of the Managing Director, you translate our sales strategy into results on the ground. Together with your team of 3 internal sales employees, you work on optimising our sales figures. You are the first point of contact for our customers and you are responsible for the price negotiations with our suppliers.

Specifically, the following are part of your duties:

  • You build relationships with existing and potential customers and ensure a continuous pipeline of opportunities.
  • You will assist the Managing Director in preparing the sales strategy, the budget and the forecast and manage your team to achieve the objectives.
  • You support the sales team in more complex quotations and calculations and you are responsible for the tendering part.
  • You are responsible for the price negotiations with the suppliers.
  • You exchange market information with the sales team and other departments.
  • You lead 3 sales people, follow up the needs and concerns within the sales team.

Organisation

Our client is a rapidly growing company that is active as a total package supplier of high-quality products for gas, water and telecom infrastructures.
They belong to a larger group that operates internationally and currently employs some 230 people.

Profile

As Head of Sales, you can identify yourself with the profile description below:

  • You have a bachelor or master degree, preferably in a technical field or equivalent through experience in a customer-oriented environment.
  • You have a very good technical insight and already have experience in a sales function within a technical related company.
  • You have a good commercial feeling.
  • You can work independently and are result-oriented.
  • You are a born team leader and know how to support and guide your colleagues smoothly.
  • You are perfectly Dutch and can also express yourself well in English, French and possibly German.
