As a GL Accountant, you will therefore join the finance team of this company. Your focus in terms of finance will really be on the 'Z-story'.

You will mainly be involved in the following tasks:

• Periodic - and year-end closures.
• Reconciliation of accounts.
• Taking care of payroll entries.
• Calculating commissions.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Point of contact for the external audit regarding your files.
• Preparation of tax returns.

All this you do for a 10-15 companies that are entrusted to you.

We are currently looking for a GL Accountant for our client in the Wommelgem area to join the team. ALS GL Accountant, you will be joining an organisation of approximately 2,500 employees (with 250 people approximately at the head office) of which about 60 people work in the finance department. You will be joining a well-known company that operates in the retail sector and has more than 150 points of sale throughout Belgium.

To fill this GL Accountant vacancy, we are looking for the following profile:

• You have a higher degree in an accounting field. For example, a bachelor's degree in Business Management: Accountancy-Taxation.
• You have been able to gain initial experience in accounting. It is important here that you have experience with monthly and year-end closures.
• You know how to work smoothly with MS Office programmes such as Excel.
• You speak Dutch at a professional level, a mouthful of French is definitely a plus.
• You obviously work punctually and accurately.
• You don't lie awake at night over deadlines.
• You are of the 'I'll just try' mentality.
