Field Service Engineer

Are you a Service Engineer with a passion for high-tech developments? Do you love turning these into realistic customised solutions and then make sure that they work properly? Our client is looking for such a candidate and the main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Maintenance of installations at the customers' premises. This includes corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Emergency repairs if something goes suddenly wrong
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance on conveyor belts, cranes, AGVs, etc.
• Troubleshooting, and elimination of failures
• Permanent attention to safety regulations
• To be present at the customer's site for 1 day or longer, both in Belgium and abroad

In order to qualify for this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in electromechanics, mechanics or electricity
• Good knowledge of automation
• Three years' experience in a similar position
• Ability to work independently and solve malfunctions individually
• Interest in the application of high-tech solutions in industrial environments
• Ability to keep the necessary documents correctly.
• Very good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch and French will constitute an advantage
• Open for shift- and weekend work and willingness to travel abroad
• To carry out planned repairs in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and industry standard practices
