Function

In this position, you are responsible for the management of buildings, utilities and air handling installations. The following tasks are involved:

  • Realisation of projects and process improvements within the predefined budgets of Building & Utilities.
  • Independent contracting of work for buildings, utilities and air-conditioning installations, taking into account the authority to sign and checking and approving the corresponding invoices.
  • Preparation of investment requests.
  • Supervise, inform and follow up on hired staff.
  • Management, monitoring, maintenance, knowledge transfer to Electrical Engineers of utilities, alarm centres and air handling installations + associated administration.
  • Contacts with suppliers in connection with technical information.
  • Actively participate in a continuous improvement process:
  • Supporting, advising and proposing alternatives for the development of calculation requests, new projects and process improvements.
  • Analysing and making improvement proposals in problem situations.
  • Participation in the practical development of new and improvement projects such as the introduction, development and evaluation of concepts and process improvements, and the creation of tools, parameters and machine processes.
  • Documenting tools, parameters and machine processes.
  • Helping to optimise reliability, cost control and efficiency.
  • Organising permanence in relation to monitoring and ensuring the continuity of Utilities.
  • Taking action (correcting, informing, shutting down machines, etc.) in the event of deviating quality or incorrect functioning of the safety equipment or machines.

Profile

  • You have at least a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in pharma or chemistry is a plus!
  • You have a good knowledge of refrigeration techniques.
  • You have experience in managing (technical) projects.
  • You are familiar with GMP guidelines, pharmaceutical guidelines, hygiene, quality systems, procedures, training, ... .
  • You are communicative in both Dutch and English, knowledge of German or French is an asset.
  • You are analytical, solution-oriented, constructive and open-minded.
  • You are an organisational talent and a real time manager.
  • You are always result-oriented but never lose sight of quality.
  • Finally, you work well independently but also in a team.
