Function

Within this unit you will develop software for the digital instrument panel. Buses and coaches have undergone many technological improvements in recent years, with new technology such as ADAS, e-mobility, telematics, integrated infotainment etc, ... has been integrated. The instrument panel has an important role as a central point of information for the driver. The integration of this functionality in the complex E/E architecture of a vehicle, while keeping the user experience consistent, will be your challenge. As a software engineer, you discuss test requirements and test specifications with the test engineers. You work in Agile/SCRUM teams on the development of the software according to the V-model.

Organisation

Our client manufactures, designs and distributes buses, coaches and industrial vehicles. They strive to create innovative and customised products that have an impact on the environment. They introduced the world's first hydrogen-powered BRT system and are a market leader in hydrogen applications. The Software Engineering Unit is part of the "Engineering Bus & Car" department. The unit is responsible for the research, development and testing of electrical & electronic components and their software used in city buses and coaches.

Profile

  • Master or Bachelor degree in a software related field or equivalent through experience.
  • Experience in application programming for embedded systems using model-based design (Simulink) or PLC-type languages (logi.cad).
  • Knowledge of CAN, CAN protocols (J1939, UDS, XCP) and CAN-related tools (Vector analyser, Canoe, ...).
  • Experience in diagnostics (UDS/ODX/tooling/...) is a plus.
  • Experience with working in an Agile environment (SCRUM).
  • Able to assess, prioritise and organise tasks independently.
  • Able to communicate fluently in English (writing, speaking, understanding).
