Electromechanical design engineer

As an Electromechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You will design electromechanical installations and integrations of screw systems.
• You will be responsible for full design work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic aspects.
• You prepare the drawings in Solidworks and Autocad.
• You provide clear and structured plans.
• You are able to make strength calculations.
• You will support sales and the workshop in their daily projects. You will often be involved in projects even before they are effectively sold to help determine the solution.
• You take care of material determination and purchase.
• You are responsible for organisation and planning.
• You manage the entire project from a to z.
• You are open to travelling abroad occasionally. This will not be very frequent.

As an Electromechanical Design Engineer, you will largely meet the following requirements:

• You are preferably an engineer by education and already have several years of experience as a design engineer.
• You are a real problem-solver.
• You are able to make strength calculations.
• You are good at 3D design (Solidworks and Autocad).
• You are fluent in MS Office packages.
• You can deliver your projects in a customer-focused manner within the predefined timeframe.
• You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and/or German may be a plus.
• You can work very well independently.
• You are an excellent communicator both with internal colleagues's (workshop, sales) and customers.

Our client specialises in customised industrial screw technologies. They are supplier of industrial tools for industrial assembly processes focused on screwing. They work for various industries including automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering,... They distinguish themselves by offering customised solutions adapted to the customer's needs. Their customers are mainly located in the Benelux countries, Germany, Scandinavia, France and Italy.
Together with the parent company at the same location, they employ about 20 colleagues's. They are currently looking for an Electromechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

As an Electromechanical Design Engineer, you will join a close-knit team. You will work closely together with sales and the workshop. Furthermore, you will have a very varied job in a dynamic and future-oriented work environment and can count on an attractive salary supplemented by group and hospitalisation insurance, eco cheques and free sandwiches every afternoon.
Moreover, you will be working a 39-hour week with 6 ADV days where you can plan your holidays yourself. On Friday, your weekend also starts 1 hour earlier.
