Driven insurance consultant

As a claims manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive follow-up and handling of various claims files, ranging from individuals to businesses and different types of claims such as fire, auto, industrial accidents and liability. This responsibility includes the complete supervision of each file from the time of notification to final closure. You start by gathering all relevant information on coverages, liability and the circumstances of the incident when opening a file. You then analyse this information and apply the applicable contract terms. You take the initiative to determine the extent of damages for both the client and the other party and negotiate compensation. Throughout this process, you keep the insured regularly informed of developments in their case.

With a hands-on mentality, you proactively ensure that all your claims files are correct and complete. You also ensure efficient, accurate administrative processing of the files, both in communication to the customer and in the management system BRIO. You work closely with the commercial staff and share with them relevant information about possible problems or opportunities. Solid, professional communication and relationship with clients and insurers is essential, as is regular contact with clients in the office for all kinds of questions, such as claims reports.

We are looking for a candidate with at least a bachelor's degree. Experience in damages is a plus but certainly not a requirement. The ideal candidate is motivated, works accurately, and is both customer- and service-oriented, In addition, you have an excellent command of the Dutch language, both orally and in writing.
