Design engineer

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimising machines and systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to meet our customers' requirements and specifications. Your main tasks include:

• Designing and modelling machines and systems using CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Performing technical calculations and analysis to ensure the performance, reliability and safety of machinery.
• Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications and documentation.
• You will select suitable materials, components and suppliers in consultation with the purchasing team.
• You will support the production process by providing technical guidance to the production department.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency.

• A completed university-level technical education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar discipline.
• Proven experience in designing machines and systems, preferably within the mechanical engineering sector is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar.
• Good understanding of technical principles, materials and production methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• A proactive and results-oriented attitude.
• Fluent command of the Dutch and English languages.
