Within this office in the Nijlen region, your responsibilities will include the following tasks:

• You act as the first point of contact for customers, handling all their queries related to their business operations. If you do not have an immediate answer, you commit to providing the customer with the necessary information at a later date. Moreover, you proactively think along with customers to find the most appropriate solutions.
• You will be responsible for processing and following up your own customer files in the financial field, with the pure entry work being carried out by your colleagues. Naturally, you will want to provide support when needed.
• Active involvement in the monthly and year-end closures of various companies is part of your duties, while your colleagues deal with basic accounting work.
• Preparation of reports and financial statements will be your responsibility.
• You will take responsibility for filing VAT returns and personal and corporate income tax returns.

We are currently looking for an additional employee for our client in the Nijlen region to expand the team. As an additional employee, you will work as an 'Advisor - Bookkeeper'. You will join a consultancy firm that wants to focus entirely on 'servicing' entrepreneurs. The idea is that entrepreneurs can come to the office with various questions. Think about financial questions, but also about personnel matters, business plans, etc. You will mainly focus on the financial side. In other words, you will definitely not end up in a classic accounting firm, but rather in a 'full-service office'.

To fill the position of 'Advisor - Bookkeeper', we are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

• You have a degree in an accounting discipline, e.g. a Bachelor Accountancy-Tax or equivalent.
• You have proven experience in accounting, with specific knowledge of closures, VAT returns and preparing financial statements.
• You are curious and eager to learn, and enjoy staying abreast of new developments in the field.
• As a proactive thinker, you are able to suggest optimisations to the customer.
• Taking responsibility for your own client portfolio is something you look forward to.
• You are willing to give professional advice to your customers.
