Function

As a claims manager within the Berlaar branch, you can expect the following range of duties:

  • You will operate in a kind of triangular relationship towards the customer. This means that a particular customer will always be able to count on a team of 3 people. This includes you, as a claims manager, alongside a production manager and an account manager.
  • You will be active within BOAR insurance.
  • You are responsible for the quick and correct handling of claims files.
  • You will inform and advise customers throughout the process and be responsible for any aftercare.

We are currently looking for a Claims Administrator for an independent insurance broker in the region of Berlaar, with the aim of expanding the team. As a Claims Manager, you will be part of one of the leading insurance brokers in the country, with several offices spread across Flanders. Unlike a traditional brokerage firm with a limited number of employees, here you will find yourself in an organisation with around 200 professionals. Profile

To fill this claims manager vacancy, we are looking for the following person:

  • You have a background within insurance from your education (bachelor's degree) or have developed a tremendous affinity with the sector.
  • You have been able to build up an experience of about three years as a claims manager with an insurance broker. You may have built up this experience with both private clients and businesses.
  • You are someone who is always at the service of customers.
  • You can make yourself understood in Dutch at a professional level; a solid knowledge of French is always a plus.
  • You are willing to further develop yourself and grow in your job through various training courses.
  • You have a healthy dose of problem-solving skills and can empathise with customer issues.
  • You know better than anyone that smooth communication with the customer is essential, so you do not hesitate to keep the customer informed of the state of affairs by phone or e-mail.
