Function

We are currently looking for a claims manager for an independent insurance broker in the Turnhout region to expand the team. As a claims manager, you will join one of the larger insurance brokers in the country. They currently have a number of offices spread across Flanders. You should not expect a classic brokerage office with a few employees, as here you will join an organisation of around 200 people. Size aside, they do consider the working atmosphere and internal culture very important. They therefore strive to keep this culture as open and accessible as possible. Furthermore, they like to profile themselves as a generalist broker where anyone, from individuals to self-employed and international companies, can get insurance.

Profile

To fill this claims manager vacancy, we are looking for the following person:

  • You have a background within insurance from your education (bachelor's degree) or have developed a tremendous affinity with the sector.
  • You have been able to build up an experience of about three years as a claims manager with an insurance broker. You may have built up this experience with both private clients and businesses.
  • You are someone who is always at the service of customers.
  • You can make yourself understood in Dutch at a professional level; a solid knowledge of French is always a plus.
  • You are willing to further develop yourself and grow in your job through various training courses.
  • You have a healthy dose of problem-solving skills and can empathise with customer issues.
  • You know better than anyone that smooth communication with the customer is essential, so you do not hesitate to keep the customer informed of the state of affairs by phone or e-mail.
