Category Buyer

You will build and maintain an international network of trusted suppliers for multiple product categories with global delivery to their various departments.  

You are constantly looking for new suppliers.

You thoroughly prepare strategic analyses and closely monitor industrial markets. 

You help define their global sourcing strategy.

You develop good relationships with various project teams in the different sites.

You constantly strive to reduce overall costs.

Moreover, you ensure compliance with their global procurement procedures and business principles for suppliers.

You ensure consistent compliance with optimal delivery service, product quality, safety and environmental standards by implementing service level agreements and through proper supplier performance management.

For structural operational issues, you take the lead to ensure sustainable solutions.  

You will report to the Global Purchasing Manager.

In this position as Category Buyer, you have an important key position.

You have a Master's degree in (electro)mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience.

You can look back on 5 years of experience in the international purchasing of technical goods. 

You have strong commercial skills and good networking skills.

You enjoy building long-term relationships. 

You have strong analytical skills that you combine with tactical insight.

You are a solid negotiator.

Driven to achieve results, you strive for long-term win-win situations.

Travelling (15%) does not put you off and you are used to negotiating in English.
