As a calculator, you will land a position with responsibility and challenge. You can count on an individual training and/or guidance plan. As a calculator, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

  • You will be responsible for the costing of numerous challenging road projects.
  • You will collect data from suppliers and business departments and analyse it.
  • You prepare price quotes.
  • You will monitor the cost price in cooperation with our post-calculation service.
  • You will work together with your colleagues from the estimating and purchasing department.


Our client is a leading road construction company with already more than 50 years of experience combining various disciplines such as major road works, sewerage works, road maintenance, park construction, environmental construction and green space maintenance. They currently employ around 160 people. The combination of different disciplines at one address gives clients the advantage of working efficiently, with short lines, from different angles to find a suitable solution for their project. They currently have a C and G3 class 7 approval and are currently working on raising their approval to class 8. To support the calculation department, they are currently looking for an additional calculator to strengthen their team.


As a calculator, you can largely identify with the job requirements below:

  • You preferably have a bachelor's or master's degree (ideally in construction engineering) or you already have expertise in road construction.
  • You already have experience in estimation.
  • You have knowledge of standard specification 250.
  • You have a good understanding of plans and specifications and can analyse them.
  • You work accurately and attentively.
