As a calculator within the building technology department, the following tasks are part of your job description:

• You take care of the preparation of complete offers and tenders and follow them up carefully.
• You gather the necessary information internally and contact external suppliers and subcontractors for price requests, which you follow up closely and, where necessary, combine with site visits to realise a correct price calculation.
• You think about optimisations that have a favourable effect on the work preparation and the work organisation and implement them in cooperation with your operational colleagues.
• You will report directly to the Technical Director.

Our client started out as a family business producing traffic signs. In the meantime, they have grown into one of the largest companies that provides our roads with signs, both permanent and temporary. Besides signalling, they are also active in road marking, road maintenance, traffic lights and cameras.

Their aim: to create safer and smoother traffic with the least possible inconvenience to road users and the environment.

As a calculator, you will be working in the construction techniques department, where specialised and especially innovative renovation techniques are carried out in civil engineering and infrastructure.

Our client is looking for a numerical team player who, together with the project colleagues and the technical director, will further determine the operational strategy.

For the position of calculator you have:

• min. a bachelor degree in construction or equivalent through experience.
• Candidates with a driven practical experience who wish to grow.
• You are strong in figures, you have an eye for detail, you are punctual and highly skilled in the analysis of your files.
• You have insight into prices, materials, methods and techniques.
• You have social and communicative skills and enjoy working in a team.
• You are fluent in MS Office applications and do not hesitate to learn new tools, including the Bouwsoft package.
• You are Dutch speaking with a basic knowledge of French.
