For this vacancy as a calculator in the Kortrijk region, your tasks will be as follows:

• After the files have been prepared, you are responsible for the price requests with suppliers and subcontractors.
• You will prepare the calculation and find the most efficient way to work.
• You make price comparisons.
• As a calculator you will negotiate.
• You are in contact with the client and architect if anything is unclear or missing.
• As a calculator, you are responsible for drawing up contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

This construction company is a family business that has been active since the early 1900s. Currently, the 3rd generation is at the helm and they are active in total contracting and structural work throughout Flanders. In terms of sector, they are active in residential construction, including 80 to 90% flat construction and their customers are mainly project developers. They employ 50 people with a high level of seniority.

Due to expansion, they are looking for an additional employee to strengthen their calculation department.

They are based in the Kortrijk region and since 2019 they have moved to a brand new office building with parking facilities.

The company is located in a quiet area surrounded by greenery.

Who am I looking for in this job as a calculator in the Kortrijk region?

• You have enjoyed a construction-technical education.
• Since you are in contact with customers, knowledge of NL is a must.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in architecture is an asset.
• Experience is not a must.
• You like to work with figures.
• In this position as a calculator, you work in an analytical and structured way.
• You like to work in a team.
• As a calculator, you have knowledge of Excel.
• You like to be in contact with customers.
• The calculation programme will be taught internally.
