As a business analyst insurance you will be part of a close-knit team that works from the Ghent office.

You will work full time in a 38.5 hour week. They offer the possibility of an immediate permanent contract. You can make use of flexible hours between 8:00 and 18:00, in consultation with the team. Give and take is the standard here. Our client certainly has an eye for the work-life balance of its employees.

A 4/5th job can be discussed, again in consultation with the team. The timetable also takes into account 2 to 3 days of home work per week, after the training period. However, this is not an obligation. Working from an office closer to you can also be discussed (e.g. Kortrijk, Brussels or Antwerp). For the team meetings, you are flexible to move to Ghent or Brussels (on average 1x per week).

Because you work 38.5 hours per week, you are entitled to 6 extra paid catch-up rest days. In total, you can count on 30 days of leave per year (20 statutory days, 6 adv days and 4 sectoral leave days). This of course applies to full-time employment.

The financial picture can be as follows:

  • a gross monthly salary depending on relevant experience
  • meal vouchers of €8
  • hospitalisation insurance
  • group insurance
  • €100 net expense allowance
  • €20 mobile phone fee
  • home working allowance
  • seniority days
  • disability insurance
  • sport and culture vouchers
  • benefits @ work
  • free flu vaccine, mental health counselling ...

A company car is not part of the package. However, there is a possibility to lease a car at a more favourable rate (cash for car).

To welcome their new employees, a complete and extensive onboarding process has been outlined. So you will certainly not be left to your own devices once you start!

A hot topic these days is internal mobility. And our client does not let this pass. They give their employees various training opportunities and possibilities to explore new functions/tasks.

As a result, our client's employees are likely to stay longer than three years. This is further rewarded by an intervention in any personal mortgage loans. On average, 1 month per year is paid off for you by our client.

Do you want to find out what the next steps in the application process are?

After an intake interview with one of our job coaches at a regional Accent office near you, there are three steps: you start with a digital, exploratory interview with the recruiter. You receive tests/assessments which you take before the second interview with the hiring manager on site.

Function

As a Business Analyst Insurance, you will join the team of experts within the Insurance department in Ghent. This is a broad concept: life insurance, work accident insurance, guaranteed income, group insurance... This company has it all for their customers.

Your role will mainly be within the life insurance branch. In short, you will be responsible for drawing up the necessary reports and analysing and optimising the existing processes.

Specifically:

  • you are responsible for drawing up various reports at the request of internal and external services
  • You check these data and correct where necessary; missing data you request from the responsible colleague and complete in the internal ERP system
  • convert this data into usable data for the online tools with ease
  • you analyse the existing processes, question the needs of the customers and look for possibilities to make them run even better
  • you hold brainstorming sessions together with colleagues and initiate projects
  • you draw up a step-by-step plan for launching the changes and you keep to the deadlines set
  • you liaise with the business and their customers to involve them in the planned changes
  • Once fully installed, schedule evaluations and, based on the feedback, proceed with optimisation.

You function as a project leader and guide various teams towards an optimal result. You are the link between IT, Insurance and the Business.
