Function

As a Business Analyst, you are the central link between the process owners and the team of internal and external developers and functional consultants.

  • You guide and coordinate the process owners, business partners and developers during implementation, testing, acceptance and release, and provide training and support afterwards.
  • You take on a part of the project management: you meticulously coordinate the preparation and execution of roadmaps to new or changed functionalities and integrations.
  • You will work on a wide range of applications, from online ordering facilities for customers, internal software for product and customer management, to customised software for controlling production machines and production orders.
  • You work closely together with the IT team that consists of 2 internal analysts, 1 business architect and project leader, 5 internal developers and the IT team leader, plus some temporary external analysts and developers. You also work closely with the consultants of our ERP supplier.

In order to realise these, they are replacing their current ERP package with Microsoft Dynamix AX, and are looking for a Business Analyst for the head office in Sint-Niklaas.

Profile

As a Business Analyst, you have very sharp and analytical thinking skills, and you can quickly familiarise yourself with new domains. You can think along with our company on an abstract and conceptual level and you are also able to go into depth to the details. You always strive for a correct balance between the costs and benefits associated with the solutions you propose.

For this profile we are looking for someone with the following background and skills:

  • You have a higher degree in computer science or an economic direction or are equivalent through experience.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in business / functional analysis in a (preferably) complex environment.
  • You have strong interviewing skills and experience in searching diverse information in complex databases. You are also good at building on partial information and can distinguish between facts and assumptions.
  • You enjoy contacting customers. You always maintain composure and professionalism, even when the internal or external customer becomes nervous.
  • You have experience in agreeing on the functional and technological side of interfaces between software systems, and in organising and partly carrying out the associated integration and acceptance tests.
  • You have extensive experience in modelling processes and information.
  • You have good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills and can rely on a strong memory.
  • You are a communicative and assertive team player with sufficient maturity. In addition, you are hands-on, proud of your work and only satisfied when the team succeeds.
  • You know how to reconcile diverging interests in a diplomatic manner.
  • You have experience with project management
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is an advantage.
