As a Bachelor Technician of Railway Works, you will be happy with these assignments;

• Checking and inspecting our installations (tracks, switches, level crossings, etc.) and their surroundings (embankments, roadsides, etc.),
• Measuring, evaluating and diagnosing using various measuring techniques,
• Participating in maintenance works and interventions and checking the proper execution,
• Ensuring that technical regulations and safety measures are complied with,
• Joint responsibility for the organisation, planning and execution of maintenance interventions (management of the team, tools and safety),
• Participating in the drafting and adapting of technical control sheets, safety documents and updating of databases (computer applications)
• Supervise the proper execution of the works (by own staff and/or contractors) and the compliance with the (legal and technical) regulations,

You will have fixed hours, but you will also regularly work at night and at weekends (1 to 3 per month).

As a Bachelor Technician Railway Works, both in maintenance and renovation, you regularly lead a team and will often take on a coordinating role.

Our client builds, maintains and renews the railway infrastructure in Belgium. With some 10,000 employees, we work on a reliable and modern railway network.

As a site supervisor, you will be working in our Asset Management department. The 6,600 employees of Asset Management are responsible on a daily basis for the inspection, maintenance and renewal of the railway infrastructure: tracks, signals, overhead wires, etc. They also design, manufacture, maintain and repair important railway components and accessories, such as points.

The employer has several seats in Belgium. This allows them to take into account where you live and what positions are available.

The ideal Bachelor Railway Technician recognises himself in the following background;

• a bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial sciences and technology or bioengineering.
• or you can submit a certificate or attestation of success issued by the technical higher education of the short type for social promotion, which is considered equivalent to the aforementioned diploma (with full curriculum).

And:

• Interest in engineering or construction.
• Mathematical insight in order to be able to calculate material requirements and make limited analyses, among other things.
• Driving licence B or willing to obtain one
