As assistant production manager you are responsible for:

• welcoming and training the new employees
• monitoring the production planning
• monitoring production quality and yields
• the entire reporting of the department
• leading and implementing improvement projects
• monitoring of cleaning activities
• ensuring compliance with hygiene, environmental and safety regulations
• managing the team together with the manager
• Backup for the manager

For a brand new food plant in the region of Poperinge, we are looking for an assistant production manager. You will be joining an inventive and growing company that operates at 13 different production sites and is the largest European producer of fresh, frozen and dried potato products. 

As an assistant production manager, you preferably meet the following requirements:

• you have a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience
• you are analytically minded, but still have a hands-on mentality
• you can work independently
• you are strong in organisational skills
• You have a great sense of responsibility and the will to continuously improve things
• you have a good command of the Dutch language and you dare to express yourself in French
